Professor Mahmoud Hesabi

Dr. Mahmoud Hesabi born on February-1903 and died in August-1992. His real name is Mahmoud khan Mirza Hesabi but he is known as professor Hesaby. He was Physicist, Senator, Minister of Education and founder of the Physics University in Iran.

Biography

Mahmoud Hesaby was born in Tehran from Tafreshi Mother and Father. He was spent first four years of his childhood life in Tehran and was beginning his primary education in seven years old in Beirut with poverty and ordeals of being away from the homeland in the French priest school. At the same time, he was learned Persian literature and Religious education from his mother. He memorized the Quran and Hafez. He had also complete nobles on Boustan, Golestan Saadi, Shahnameh of Ferdowsi, Masnavi of Rumi books and Deputy Farahani Characteristics information. Hesaby were very well familiar with poetry and traditional music of Iran and classical music of West. He was skilled at playing the violin and piano. He achieved success in several sports fields, like achieving Lifeguard certification in swimming in adolescence in Beirut. He died in Geneva Hospitals of University. His family tomb is located in Tafresh city. Also, the department of Transportation of the Islamic Republic of Iran put the name of doctor Hesaby on one of fleet ships of itself.

Education

Began his secondary education was at the beginning of I World War and holidays of French-language schools of Beirut. Hence he studied for two years at home. After that, he continued his education in the American College of Beirut. In seventeen years old he was Bachelor of literature and at nineteen years old he received the bachelor of Biology. After that, he was graduated from the civil Engineering of the French university in Beirut. In this time, with employment in planning and construction of highways, he has helped the supplement of the family income.

He was also paid college education in medicine, mathematics, and astronomy.

He was educated and researched at the Sorbonne universities of French. In the 1927 year at the age of twenty 25, he gave his encyclopedia of Physics, with a thesis entitled “photoelectric cells are more sensitive”, and he gave many awards either.

Doctor Hesabi museum

Just a little bit after the death of doctor Hesaby in 1993, his house comes to be a museum in which his Personal items, Scientific and educational documents, Emblems, Acknowledgments, Old photos, the text of speeches, writings has been exhibited inside it. His house is located in the place that in the past it was called Hesaby crossroads.

Iraj Hesaby the son of Dr. Hesaby has rejected these criticisms. He said in his interview that his father has no picture with Mr. Albert Einstein.

Esparzeh

Esparzeh with the scientific name of Plantago psyllium or Plantago ovata forsk is one of the plant and in Iran that grows especially in the high locations over 2500 meters in the Kohgiloyeh and Boyerahmad. In the Bellucci language, this plant calls Danychk. Esparzeh grows in abundance in Baluchistan of Iran and Pakistan. Baluch people for the elimination of diarrhea mixing the seeds of Esparzeh with Yogurt give to the sick person that it has many properties and it is effective.

This plant is an annual herbaceous one without any stem or with very short stems and narrow leaves, sharp and long with three nervures that they are wide in the whole of leaf length. The small flowers of that are in the shape of cylindrical spikes or almost in the circle shape with the length of 5/1-3 centimeters. They appear in the top of the peduncles and they contain brown to yellow colour seeds.

The height of Esparzeh is from 10-35 centimeters. Fruit of that is glume, flourishes, with two homes and contents usually small seed, they are slippery and has brown colour in every home. This plant is in the automatic shape and it is on dry grass. Pastures, abandoned fields, grasslands, near the roads and rivers and bayer deserts has been seeing.

In the time of growing it needs more cold and dry weather, but during the time of completing the seed and harvest it needs hot, sunny, dry weather. Planting to harvesting increasing by the seed and in the hermetic sandy earth, plowed and free of weeds is done. For doing this job first they make the grooves with the depth of 4-5 centimeters and 60 centimeters distance from each other in the earth. Then they planted seeds in the grooves during the spring and also then gently roller on the land until thin soil covers them. Usually after seeds development and finding young plants the people make the distance between them more and more until every foundation has 10-15 centimeters distance with the other one. The need seeds are about 5-7 kilograms in every hectare. The time of germination is during 7-10 days. The plant needs water in the average shape. 5-6 days of irrigation is enough to base on the roots of the plant. The second time of irrigation must be done base on the 10-15 days pause. The dietary need of the plant is very low.

50-70 kilograms of fertilizer in hectare from the end in two turns is enough for the plant.

60 days after planting seeds it will come to have flowers and 8-17 days after that, it is preparing for harvesting. When the spike come to be Auburn and the bottom leaves come to be dry and fall down and the top leaves come to be brown is the time of harvesting.

Combination and effect

Esparzeh has Gallic acid, Tannic and also Glycoside with the name of Aucubine in different parts and plenty of enamels in the way that the outer shell will swell when the seed locating in the water and after tearing enamels coming out of it. Water absorbent material is about 30 percents of seeds coat. After soak and absorption of the water it will give enamels, then Esparzeh seeds imbued with water it will inflate 10 times more and come to be in enameled shape.

Morphology

Esparzeh is a one-year gramineous plant with the height of 10-35 centimeters.

This plant is beneficial in the time for reducing pain, relieves itching and cut hemorrhoids bleedings. Paste Esparzeh with Jujube in the water and drink it in the morning in the fast mood before breakfast. Wash the body with the water of that it will resolve to itch. Drink brewed water of that it is the diuretic.

Pour 20 grams of that in the glass of boiling water and repeat it for four days. It is excretion of Gallstone. It has many benefits for opening appetite also.

Pour one tablespoon of that every day (morning, noon, night) in the cup of boiling water then make it sweet with rock candy and then drink it. It will cure long and chronic diarrhea. Permanently pulleys the mucilage in the throat. Drink it in a sipping way. It will treat throat ache. If you remain it in your mouth it will cure mouth sores. Flail Esparzeh then make the dough of it with vinegar. Consume it as poultice at night in the place of the wound. It will treat Wayfarer.

Dormeneh(Sagebrush)

Sagebrush with the scientific name of Artemisia is kind of plant contains 200-400 species and it is from the (Asteraceae) family that they contain clustered heaps. The flowers of this plant usually have the bitter taste.

What are the medicinal properties of mountain Dormeneh plant?

Mountain Dormaneh plant has many medicinal properties and it is very useful for the stomach sicknesses. This plant has different kinds with several names. Most of them have bitter and aroma leaves and they have somehow same benefits with each other. This kind of planet in Iran has about 34 species in annual and perennials herbaceous and they are scattered in all over of Iran. The special kinds of them in Iran are A. Melanolepis-A. Kermanensis. In different areas consume this plant for Antihelminthic. In addition, it has the effect of Anti flatulence, relieve a cough, and headache, anti-worm, disinfectants and insecticide. The essence of it has the slight Anti-worm effect.

Daqdeaqak (Colutea)

Colutea is from the Fabaceae or Papilionaceae generous and also it is in the row of Fabales.

Colutea generous contains about 25 species of the deciduous shrubs with 2-5 meters heights that they are local of the south of Europe, north of African and west-south of Asia.

This plant grows in the high steppe areas and in different parts of Iran. The flowers of that are yellow and it has big fruit and has empty inside that because of that it calls “Colutea”.

Colutea is the Shrub with the height until 6 meters that after appearing its swollen fruits, it is finding certain beauty. The leaves of that are composed of 7-13 petioles. The flowers of that are big, beautiful and in the yellow colour. Swollen fruit of Colutea has the thin sidewall with a length of 5-7 centimeter and width of 3-4 centimeters and it contains seeds with brown colour, it is flat and transparent. Inside the thin skin of the fruit collecting mixture of Carbon dioxide, Oxygen, and Nitrogen.

Daqdaqak is consuming as the decorative plant, cover of green space and to control soil erosion.

Conditions of growth environment

Colutea grows very well in the places that they are sunny, in any kind of soil except the one that they contain lots of water. The temperature that this kind of plant can grow in that is at least -15 ° C.

This plant grows in the poor soil either. Although watering is the reason of better growing of plants but this plant can also tolerate drought conditions.

Medicinal properties and industrial applications of Colutea:

Usable sections of this plant, are scabbard and leaves. Medicinal properties of Colutea are Laxative and Bile –inducing. The way of consuming it is to pouring 20-30 grams of this plant in one liter of water then brewed it. Consume it after each meal.

From the most important existence compounds in this medicinal plant, we can point to Kulutyyk acid.

Chay-e Torsh (Hibiscus tea)

Hibiscus tea, Red tea or Rozell tea provided from the sepals of Hibiscus tea plant and it is used in the many parts of the world as the hot or cold Drink. In Latin America and especially in Jamaica it has the conventional usage and it is famous as the Jamaica flower either, in North of Africa as the Sudanese tea and in the Egypt, it is known with the name of Karkade. It has the sour taste and it is usually drunk with sugar.

Specifications of the plant

Jamaica flower (Roselle) is an annual plant with the bushes and the height of 2-3 m. with 3-5 leaves faceted with Glaucous, yellow flowers with green sepals that after fruit ripening sepals come to be red. People used for providing vehicles from stem fibers of them in some countries. This plant comes to be in Iran as the migratory species and it was planted for the first time in the Golmorti (Dlgan) region of Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Another name for this tea is “Maki” because it is widely planting and using in the Arabia either.

World consumption

It has consumption in most parts of Africa, Asia, it is conventional in Jamaica, selling in the shape of tea and as the cold beverage either. In Panama, it is used as beverages with or without the addition of alcohol in Christmas and Chinese New Year with the name of Saril that is taken from the Jamaican name of Sorrel. It is consumed as the tea in the United States of America and it was coming through the Mexican people and especially it is in great amount in the California. In all of the North Africa countries its offer daily and in tea houses along the street or Ambulatory shapes.

Hibiscus tea consumption is in most Asian countries such as China, Thailand, India, Malaysia and the Middle East.

Medicinal properties

The sour taste of that is because of the existence of citric acid, vitamin C and also anti-lipid antioxidants. The people believe that because of large quantities of Anthocyanins in the plant sepals it has the important role in lowering blood pressure and it has anti-cancer properties. Much research was done on its effectiveness on hypotension of peripheral and diuretic of them. Bou madaran (Yarrow)

Bou madaran, Yarrow or Milfoil Yarrow ( in traditional medicine texts Heznbel ) is the plant from the Star flowers family and Yarrow gender. It is an annual gramineous plant with the right foliage and stems with the height of 25-60 centimeters that is growing in Mediterranean and most parts of Iran. The colour of this plant is Glaucous with the long petioles and integrated long clusters flowers that they are located at the edge of its leaves. Its seed is almost spherical and smooth. Branches of these flowering plants have the special odor due to the presence of essential oil. Shepherd Musk in the commons medicine consumed as the mucus and it has also antiepileptic and soothing of shortness of breath and energy provider effects. It has the name of Moshk Daash either.

History

The Latin name of this plant is from the name of Achilles, the legendary Greek hero. It said that during the fighting in Troy (about 1200 years B.C.) used from Yarrow as the wound healing, prevent bleeding and infection. In addition, this plant (Yarrow) in the time of Saxon period used to ward off the evil eye and it was also used in the magic ceremony. Its common name mean “Nosebleed” shows the traditional application use of this plant in stanch of bleeding of the nose.

Botanical characteristics

It is the stable plant with the height of 20-90 centimeters and even more than that and has the leaves without petioles long and covered with the crack which has lots of narrow cuts. The White flowers of them are in the shape of small and complex Capitols, and the flowery crown is at the end of the stem. The Multiple small capitols are located at the end of them withy 4-8 Millimeter lengths and Widths of 2-5 Millimeters and in the every Capitols of them, 2 kinds of flowers, one of them white and in the tab shape located on the edge with lots of flowers and another one is in the tube shape and located in the middle area .All parts of the plant have the Penetrating smell with the bitter taste. One of the species of Yarrow is Mille folium that has the white flowers but the Santolina as another spice of the Yarrow from the part of size is sometimes smaller with the yellow colour flowers with aromatic and penetrating odor. Yarrow has the plant with the height of 10-35 centimeters. Other spices of this plant base on the kind and the place that they grow change in the height such as 10-80, 15-55, 15-40 centimeters.

The time of flowering of this plant is from the end of May until the end of July. The best time of removal is in the first half of July. Yarrow in the dialect of North Khorasan and Azerbaijan is called Sarigol. It is from the Chicory family. It has different kinds that all of its names are the record and available in the Flor of Ilam book. This plant is found in abundance in Ilam province. Yarrow with the yellow flower can be seen in the Lorestan and in Lorestani dialect it is called “Baranjdas”.

With antacids, H2 Blockers, proton pump inhibitors reduce the effects of drugs with anticoagulant and antiplatelet (Heparin, warfarin, salicylate) increased risk of bleeding with antihypertensive drugs reducing excessive blood pressure with CNS (soothing, sleep aids, alcohol, opiate, and barbiturates) over sedation with iron minerals reduced mineral absorption use within two hours from each other.
